About eazyBackup
eazyBackup is a Canadian cloud data protection company. We design, operate, and support our own backup and storage platform, hosted on infrastructure we own in Canada. Our customers include managed service providers, regulated organizations in healthcare, legal, defence, and aerospace, and businesses that need a reliable, accountable partner for the data they cannot afford to lose.
Our story
2015 — Identifying a gap in the Canadian market.
eazyBackup began with a clear observation: Canadian businesses and MSPs needed a backup partner that operated entirely within Canada, kept pricing predictable, and answered the phone when something went wrong. The early team focused on data security and software, and built a cloud backup service shaped by direct contact with the people using it.
2017 — eazyBackup Systems Ltd.
Two years of sustained demand from service providers and businesses across Canada led to the formal incorporation of eazyBackup Systems Ltd. The company's focus has been consistent ever since: Canadian-owned and operated, transparent pricing, and a support team that customers can reach directly.
2018–2021 — Building the storage platform.
Backed by multiple rounds of private investment, eazyBackup expanded its engineering team and committed to a multi-year build: a storage platform of our own, engineered for durability, performance, and scale. By 2021 the platform was in production, serving as the new foundation for the company's backup services.
2022–2024 — Expanding the product portfolio.
On top of the storage platform, eazyBackup expanded its services to cover the full range of workloads its customers needed protected. This included cloud backup for workstations, servers, NAS, and databases; protection for virtualized environments on Hyper-V, VMware, and Proxmox; and cloud-to-cloud backup for Microsoft 365. The MSP dashboard matured into a full multi-tenant management, white-labelling, and billing platform that partners across Canada now rely on.
2025 — Opening the storage platform.
In 2025, eazyBackup introduced e3 Object Storage, making the same storage platform that powers our backup services available directly through a standard S3-compatible API. Reaching this milestone required the platform to support a broader customer base and a wider range of workloads beyond backup — from application data and media archives to analytics and modern cloud-native applications.
Today, Cloud Backup, Microsoft 365 Backup, Cloud-to-Cloud Backup, and e3 Object Storage all run on a single Canadian storage platform — built, operated, and supported by the same team.
eazyBackup is an independent Canadian company — engineers, operators, and support staff who answer for the systems we build. We treat every workload, from a single workstation to a regulated enterprise environment, with the same attention to detail.
Where we are heading
eazyBackup continues to invest in the platform and the services built on it. In 2026 we are rolling out e3 Cloud Backup, which extends the platform with higher performance and the operational tooling enterprise customers and larger MSPs run at scale. Alongside it, Partner Hub gives MSPs a complete white-label practice: a branded customer portal, integrated billing for both eazyBackup services and their own offerings, and the tools to deliver backup and storage entirely under their own name. Both build on the same Canadian platform our customers already rely on.
